“No words for the Philadelphia Eagles organization. Reached out to see if they could send something to my nephew who underwent open heart surgery 2 weeks ago.”
The Philadelphia Eagles recently sent a gift to a young fan recovering from open heart surgery.
A video shared by Twitter user @Stef_Brauer shows her 20-year-old nephew, Brooks, opening a package from the football team. The box included a message sending him well wishes along with hats and a hoodie.
Brooks was having heart issues and had been undergoing testing when he experienced a sudden cardiac arrest at home on Sep. 22, the family said. A dangerous abnormal heart rhythm landed him in the hospital, and led to the surgery.
“No words for the Philadelphia Eagles organization,” Brooks’ aunt tweeted. “Reached out to see if they could send something to my nephew who underwent open heart surgery 2 weeks ago. They went above & beyond for this young man.”
